“Fantastic holiday”
We have just returned from a week at the Almond Smugglers Cove and had an absolutely fantastic time. We had been concerned at some of the negative reviews on Tripadvisor but can say that, based on our experience, the resort is a fantastic place to stay.
Flights / Transfers. We flew on BA and everything took off and landed on time. It took about 10 minutes for the bags to come out at St. Lucia (which is a lot less time than it took at Gatwick). Transfer to the resort was a pleasant drive and a chance to see a bit of the island.
Food / Drinks - great choice of restaurants and a nice mix of food. All of the meals we had were delivered quickly, efficiently and the staff we met (especially Lucy in Enids who is great fun) were fantastic. Plenty of wine of reasonable quality available and the evening entertainment was just perfect for both couples travelling alone or familes with kids. We ate lunch mostly at La Trattoria and all of the staff there were great. A big thankyou to them all.
Hotel room - clean, tidy and quite spacious. Was nice to have a seperate living area and bedroom. Room was cleaned each day and no complaints about the standard of the accomodation.
General - whole resort was clean - plenty of sun beds and all of the staff friendly and helpful. We met Pip the sales and marketing manager who was really helpful and said that if we had any issues at all with the holiday to contact her directly and she would work with the team to resolve that. Also, was nice to meet Ian the Executive Chef who was "out and about" at all of the restaurants and making sure that guests were happy and had no issues.
All in all, a big thank you to all of the team at the ASC for a great holiday and already planning next trip back.
