The average sea temperature is 25 degrees Celsius in February and 28 degrees Celsius in September.

Grenadines dry season runs from November to May and the rainy season from June to October with an average annual rainfall of just 100 mm (4 inches).

Hurricane season is from June to October (most storms pass north of the Grenadines. The last direct hit was in 1955).

The Grenadines are popular with the rich and famous and offer some of the best sailing in the Caribbean on a par with the Virgin Islands. Many of the islands are coral with fabulous beaches, luxury hotels and private villas. Mustique in particular is known throughout the world for it's gracious private villas and famous residents.

The Grenadines,formerly a British territory in the British West Indies, is a 600-island chain divided into the two island nations of Grenada, and St Vincent and the Grenadines. Filming of Pirates of the Caribbean on St. Vincent has increased tourism to the northern nation, otherwise heavily dependent on banana crops. Southern Grenada is known as the Spice Isle for its abundance of spices and lively culture. Taxis are best for exploring St Vincent. Ferries run to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan and Union Island. New Flight Program for Travel to the Grenadines

There is no longer American Eagle service from Barbados to Canouan in the Grenadines. However, don't think this means getting to Canouan will now be more difficult. The Raffles Resort Canouan says they will handle all flight connections or tranfers for passsengers flying into and out of Barbados. They will also offer this benefit to visitors coming via St. Lucia.
