“Another wonderful holiday”

We have just returned from a 10-night holiday at the Rendezvous which we first visited three years ago. We once again went with our daughter and son-in-law. I had read some of the recent reviews and was slightly concerned that we would not enjoy our second say as much as the first. What do these people want from their holidays? The holiday was wonderful, the staff were brilliant and some remembered us by name from our first visit. The food both in the buffet and Trysting room was excellent. Our room in the Verandah suites was as clean and kept tidy with plenty of changes of towels and sheets. I even mailed before our visit saying that we were looking forward to visiting again and mentioned the rooms that we stayed in previously and they gave us the same rooms, it felt like coming home.
One of the reasons we decided to go back to the Rendezvous was to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary by renewing our vows. This was all arranged free by Sandra and Karen. The whole experience was wonderful. The bedroom and bed was decorated while we were out, with flowers and more champagne. All the staff could not do enough for us that day and everything was arranged with no worries for us. We had a special dinner on the beach the evening before, dinner in the Trysting room on the actual day, breakfast in our room the next day, the celebrations seemed to last forever.
One previous reviewer said that the Rendezvous was boring and full of old people. Well I was 60 this year, my wife is not yet 60 obviously my daughter and son-in-law are younger, but the number of young couples there either on honeymoon, getting married or just on vacation, etc. no way is this an `old` hotel. There are plenty of activities if you want to get involved, tennis, archery, water sports, mainly free, etc. etc. I won many tee shirts and bottles of rum during my stay.
To summarize, a wonderful holiday again, would have no hesitation in going back which we hope to do shortly. Anyone who complains about this hotel must be very hard to please.
